Christmas is finally here!

Well, by the time I'm blogging, it's over already. But anyways,

I heart, heart, heart Christmas!

Haven't been blogging or coming online lately cos' I've been really busy. Had loads of carolling practises to go to, and then there's the drama practise, the friend outings..yea, the list goes on.And every time I get back from those stuffs, I end up being dead tired and fall asleep right away on my comfy bed. mmm. yea, been going around doing Christmas shopping too. It's kinda hard shopping last minute cos' almost everyone is on holidays and are out and about. The malls have been super-packed this past whole week and the jams on the roads have been really annoying. Crazy.

So the carolling was great, the food was greater (omg, I think I've gained weight from all the turkey and pies :s), the christmas decorations were great, see? and you wonder why this nut here is going crazy and hyped up about christmas for. hehe :)

Guess what? My camera has been healed!! So I began my snapping adventures on Christmas Eve right after my dad collected the charger for me. Would post them up soon once I really have the time. I have pictures for the last day of carolling too. The fun-nest day actually. New year's Day is coming soon. Wonder what I'd be doing on that day. k then, the tired-ness in me is creeping in again. Nights :)

Stoning and then...

Went for breakfast (which was supposed to be at 10 but ended up at 11.30 cos' arafat and sashi couldn't wake up) with Sashi, Arafat and Dyan in Bangsar Village II Coffee Bean today. The meal wasn't bad. In fact I liked the scrambled eggs. Then after breakfast Arafat left for class and the 3 of us left were like stoning the whole time. Walked around the boutiques in Telawi streets for a while but then there was no sale. I mean like the whole Malaysia's on sale but their not because? Oh wells. Wanted to do manicure with Dyan but Sashi was so potong. Agreed to buff his nails with us and then later chickened out. Arafat came back after his class and we went to eat in delicious by Ms. Read. The brownie there is really nice. And I love love love the lemonade there. It's like so lemon-ey. Exactly how a lemonade should taste like.

So fast-forward, we went to Derrick's house after that to watch American Pie. omg, i tell you. It's my first time watching these kinda movies and it's like uncensored. Like what the? Enough bout that. Then we went to Nick's house only to find that he's not bathe yet and all. So we waited till he was done with all that. Then I followed Nick's car to OU (my second home). Was really nice chatting with my umbrella buddy again. Feels so warm :) Anyways, ate in Chillis in OU. Made ALOT of noise with them and then I left whilst they watched I am Legend starring Will Smith. I had a curfew at 12. The movie was at 12. So yup, had to pass.

It's the first time I'm seeing him in 2 months. The feelings are sorta like faded but there's still something there. I'll get over it soon. I'll come to my senses. Not worth the tears and depression and all. Be strong. I've got other shoulders to lean on. What's one shoulder less?BE STRONG ELVYNA, be strong.

Another normal day.

Nick's back!! Reached sometime in the morning if I've not mistaken. Been sleeping since then due to jet lag and all. I on the other hand, was out with Arafat and Sashi. Went to watch Heartbreak Kid at Cineleisure. Wasn't bad, in fact, it was really funny. Laughed really loud I think. Quite embarassing. Hmms. Went to Winter Warmers after that cos' my dear Arafat was hungry, again. Chatted for what seemed like a reeeeally long time. Was fun teasing Arafat and all. I'm so not used to not taking pictures when I'm out with friends.

And just in case you're wondering, that's cos' my stupid NEW(yes, you read it right) camera's charger is malfunctioning. In other words, it won't charge the battery :( How sad is that? And since it's a new model, the guy at the shop said I would've to wait until the replacement comes in their next shipping or something. How long more would that be? sighs. Now you know why my blog has been really boring lately without the colourful pictures depicting my everyday life. Hope it'll come soon, really really soon.

Of the STUPID machine and the magical PLASTIC thing

Stupid ATM machine at Subang Parade!! It ate and retained my ATM card, and for no reason at that cos' I didn't do anything wrong. The pin was correct, I had money in my account and all, but yet it had to swallow my card. sighs.. So yea, gotta reapply for a new one once the old one has been retrieved and sent back to my home bank branch. ish.

However, one bad turn changes into a superb thing when...

I got my plastic card today!! I know..I know I'm getting too hyped up bout' nothing much considering the fact that almost all my friends already have a credit card or maybe more than one. But still, it was just so pretty and had me gleaming in delight. I kinda knew what it was when the letter came, but to see it and hold it, that was so exciting. haha. Happy-fying. (If that's even a word). yup. And apparently they had some screw up at the bank so I have 2 cards now. One Visa and one Mastercard. It's the same thing though my dad says. Doesn't matter :) One thing's for sure though, the colour Platinum never looked so fabulous. *grins widely*

And guess what? I went out straight after I got it and went shopping! What else could a girl do with something so shiny and plastic-ky? A mini shopping spree to be exact. It was so cool. The first time I signed on the semi-glossy paper, the first time I swiped it, the first time I took the receipt and left the shop, all those were just so..so..*dang* I got too excited I can't find the right words to say :s But you get the drift. The happiness would remain for some time, that is, until the first statement comes at the end of this month. hahahaha.

Who cares bout that darned ATM card now huh?! :)

so freaking addicted to..

ONLINE SHOPPING!! It's so addictive. One thing after another. And when I realized, I've already spent sooo much. Stop spending so much when you're not even going out, elvyna! *slaps herself hard* On the other hand, I love my new tops, bottoms and accessories!! ahahahah. I'll never learn. k then, gtg now to continue shopping! woohoo!! :P

I am one HAPPY girl:)

Penang 07

I'm so bored right now so I've decided to blog about my trip to Penang last week from 24th to 27th of November. Went there with my grandma and relatives from mum's side. My uncle drove us there. Stopped by in Ipoh first for the food. It was really nice and cheap. omg. Can you imagine getting a bowl of super big & delicious kuay teow soup for only RM 3? yea, that's what I got. And the rojak, was scrumptious to the very end. I'm sorry there are no pictures to elaborate. I was too hungry and chomped down on the food before I remembered to take pictures of 'em :P

After the meal, we continued on to Penang. I think it has changed a lot since the last time I went there. I think I was probably 6 then. Not much I could have remembered anyway. Stayed in Paradise Hotel which was next to the beach. It wasn't bad. We got a serviced apartment since there were like 6 of us. Great view of the sea and all. The beach was not bad although definitely no comparison to Langkawi's. At least there were no rubbish or what nots on the beach. The sand was rough and well, probably good for the exfoliation of my feet. haha. My lil' cousin, Phoebe came along and was so cute :) She kept saying, "Elvyna che-che, let's go to the sandy beaches!" and then she'd do her silly face. haha. Simply adorable.

View from the Penang bridge. It was jammed and I just woke up.

View from the 17th floor. The beach. My cousin and I on the balcony.

(l to r) Aunty Grace (Phoebe's mum), Ah Yee, Gramma

I didn't eat this one (like duh?) but it looked like a nice one to add here too :)

Had all the above food in Penang. The garlic buttered prawns were heavenly. It may look ordinary, but believe me, when you taste it, it's just extraordinary :)Went to the temple also when I was there. Apparently it's like very famous, but I really only heard bout' it when I visited it. It has this really cool lift-thingy that brings you up to the temple. Malaysia's first inclined lift I heard. hmm. Not really that famous is it? I was walking around taking care of my cousin while my relatives went to pray and all in the temple. So yea, was stoning most of the time. Anyways, it was a really hot day. I felt icky and sticky from the sweat, so the pics are kinda minimal.

View from the temple.

Pretty pathway to the temple.

Forcing a smile despite the icky-ness of it all :s

Phoebe and I collecting shells.

Well, that's all for the Penang trip. It was a really great trip to bond with my relatives and of course, the FOOD! I hope trips like these would come more often. aite, toodles :)

Live and Loud KL 07

Went for Live & Loud on Saturday in Bukit Kiara. Sat with Iqbal and Arafat with my apparent "RM 8,000"(altogether now..what?!) ticket. damn ridiculous la. Who would pay so much to watch like 4 international artistes and like what, 10 local artistes? Anyway, I went there at about 8 and realized I missed the Elliot Yamin performance. Dang, how could I have missed him? :( sigh. So yea, had some trouble with security. Apparently no cameras were allowed and ever since I got my new camera, we've never parted. So yea, you know I was caught. I had to remove the battery and pass it to Iqbal's driver who later came in and returned it to me. hmm. Some tight security eh? The security person was so rude that Arafat kept saying that he would tell his aunt or someone that it seemed ridiculous (it is) that one could not bring in a camera at a concert like this.

After all the hassle, the three of us adjourned to our seats which were like far away but thank God for Iqbal's driver who drove us there. Anyi, Derrick, Malik and the rest had tickets too, but it wasn't the same as the one Arafat gave me, so they were supposed to be somewhere else, which was quite close actually. Saw a number of artistes like Hannah Tan (who was seated like in the VIP box next to mine), Shaggy (heated things up), Jaclyn Victor, etc...

Anyway, it was kinda boring and all except the fun people I was hanging out with. Think I'll probably stone to death if it weren't for them there.Alrights, I'll let the pictures do the talking.

My "RM 8,000" ticket and my name spelt oh-so-wrongly on it :S Lousy quality due to the fact that my camera's battery died. Taken with phone.
Shaggy was really entertaining. ~Girl you're my angel, you're my darling..~ Taken with phone too. Hey, at least it's 2 mp :) Anyi sitting on the grass cos' her feet were killing her. Heels to a concert? You go girl :)

The great people I hung out with that night. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I left the concert once Whitney Houston came out, since I couldn't take a picture of her. Yea, we WEREN'T ALLOWED to. ish. She thinks she's so great eh? And I heard she said she had a flu too. hmmphs. So we left around 1 to burger king in Hartamas where I parked my car earlier and had a drink with Sashi, Anyi, Derrick and Arafat. They were all so nice and insisted that they trail my car all the way back to my house in Sungai Buloh (mind you, that is damn far) just to make sure I reached home safely. Sweet people I tell you. So I did reach home safely about 2 am I think. Dropped dead on the bed once I cleaned up. Had church the next day. That's 'bout it.

Oh yea, one more thing, I really can't stand the fact that people just ask me about him all the time as if I'm supposed to know everything. Like as if I'm obliged to know stuffs about him. And they just tell me where he is and ask me if I wanna go see him. I'll go see him when I want to alright? Can the whole world just STOP reminding me of something I'm trying so freaking hard to forget? ish.

A day out.

This happened yesterday. Have to post pictures. haha. Woke Anyi up and made her go with me to KL British council to collect my IELTS results. It was so jammed. Took almost 2 hrs to KL and back. Scored a band of 7.5. Not that good but good enough for IMU. IMU's interview on 29th wasn't that bad. Well, at least that's what I thought. So from KL we went to the curve, anyi and i. Had lunch in Paddington House of Pancakes. We were spoilt for choice as there were so many stuffs to choose from in their new menu. Finally settled with some English breakfast thing and a dessert to satisfy our sweet tooth.
The English Breakfast thingy. was really yummy. The mashed potatoes and the mushroom sauce.yums :)

The dessert! The round things that look like donuts are caramelised apples fried with flour and wrapped beneath the pancake thing are 2 scoops of mouth-watering ice-cream with nuts. We couldn't finish it though . What a waste.

After eating, we watched Enchanted. It was a nice movie. Worth the watch. Alright then, that's it. I'll leave you with a picture of us cam-whoring as usual. Just that Anyi's kinda lost her touch and made the pic a bit blurry. She probably shook or something. This was the best one I could find. haha.

A New Beginning

Well, this is my first blog using blogspot. The one I'm using in Multiply, well, too many people have access to that already. So I'm going to start anew, maybe not even telling anyone about this blog so it can be more personal and stuff. yup.

New beginnings. hmm. It does have a certain ring to it. It illustrates the commencement of something new, where you're given another chance to make right, another glimpse from the start. Well, that's probably what I have now. And I'm gonna make full use of it. The past is the past, regardless of how painful or heart-wrenching it used to be. We as humans won't stay stagnant for long. That's just our nature. We were made so we would be able to move on and endure even in the worst circumstances. That is the beauty of it. A new beginning, aahh, I have a gut feeling that this would be the start of something new and beautiful. A new lease in life probably?

Well, a toast to a new beginning!!
